Bailey has worked for over ten years to empower young women to be the best they can be. Prior to joining the team at Carleton University Equity Services, Bailey founded an organization that worked with marginalized communities to deliver important literacy, leadership, and vocational skills to criminalized women.

With a firm understanding of how the power of words can influence social change, she previously worked as a Strategist at MediaStyle,  Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Network of Ottawa, and as a Women’s Rights Campaigner for Oxfam Canada. Bailey sits as Chair of the Public Engagement Committee of the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women, an organization working to bring an end to gender-based violence in Ottawa. Always ready for a debate about politics, food, or pop culture, Bailey is a passionate activist for literacy, equality, community involvement and values volunteerism, fearlessness, and creativity.

Canthius

Claire Farley is a doctoral student at the University of Ottawa and co-editor of Canthius, a feminist literary magazine. She has a professional background in communications and copywriting from her years at Livres Canada Books and Canada’s NDP. After several of her own grant applications were successful, Claire began writing proposals on a freelance basis. Now she helps creatives and community organizations communicate their brilliant projects and get the money they need to make those projects happen.

Since 2010, Marie-Christine Feraud has worked as a Cultural Funding Officer for the City of Ottawa administering such programs as the Diversity in the Arts Fund, the Cultural Facilities Fund, the Major Arts and Cultural Festivals Program and the Arts Funding Program; specializing in the Media Arts, Visual Arts, Arts Education and Dance disciplines. Marie-Christine has also worked at the Canada Council for the Arts and managing her own design company which included architectural projects, work for film, video, costuming and theatre. She has produced public art commissions, and her artistic practice has encompassed, illustration, animation, community arts and arts education projects. Marie-Christine has a BA in Architecture from Carleton University.
